Foreign workers employed in Israel in the nursing industry are invited to Israel for temporary work only, and at the end of the maximum period of employment permitted by law, they must leave Israel. The Ministry of the Interior does not allow their continued work in Israel by a new employer after a maximum period of stay of 63 months. The exception to this is in exceptional humanitarian cases, provided that a series of threshold conditions have been met. Humanitarian reasons exist in the nursing patient and are related to the complexity or uniqueness of the nursing care required of him or other personal circumstances.
Suppose you are interested in hiring a caregiver who has completed the maximum period of employment allowed by law. In this case, it’s recommended you consult with our office regarding the allowing chances of his employment, both concerning meeting the required threshold conditions in such a request and humanitarian reasons in the specific case. If the threshold conditions are met, it is recommended that an attorney who specializes in the field will write the application to maximize the chances of receiving it. If you have submitted an application that has been rejected, it is recommended that you contact us to file a professional appeal to the Court of Appeals.
